GPN News and Updates

So all, here's the deal. We're sure those of you that liked Spoiler Database are sad that it isn't really going on anymore. Basically, there will be an episode for it everytime we can manage to get one, meaning that, while we'll try our best, distances between episodes could be from a few weeks to a few months (as is the case right now). We apologize, but we realized that this is a very difficult show to keep going without stopping because the three of us just don't play enough video games, or rather we don't ALL play enough of the same.

Also, Sion and Kevin are starting a new show, and this one should actually for realz continue for a good bit of time. Look out for it in the coming weeks!

Spoiler Database - Upcoming Episode

Alright. After a six-month hiatus, SD will be coming back on the first Tuesday in May (May 2nd) with the Portal series! Considering how much all three hosts are fans of Portal, you can likely expect this to be a two-part episode. Then we will start back up with a normal schedule, in all probability making it through the summer.

SD wants to come back from hiatus with a bang. So! We are holding a mini-contest, RIGHT NOW.

E-mail SD with any video game that you would like us to do an episode on. The first and third e-mail we receive will be the next two episodes of SD, recorded the nearest Sunday to receiving the e-mails.

Unfortunately due to personal conflicts, health and family problems, we were not able to record a new Spoiler Database this week. We're sorry.

Kevin on the Editing of SD

Hey, Kevin here.

I want to bring to everyone's attention the release schedule of SD for a moment. I'm sure you all realize that it releases on Tuesday. I'm sure you've also realized that while it may release on Tuesdays, it is typically from the hours of 11pm to 12am. 

I apologize for this.

However, I will not say that it is mine, or anyones' fault. Tuesday is when I usually edit, Mondays if I have time (rarely). Since I have school now on Tuesday, I have slim to no time to edit. Editing tends to be a 1-2 hour process. Yes, I may have about 7 to 9 hours after I get home from school from when I go to bed, but you forget that I do have other responsibilities (homework, dinner, marching band [practicing music]) etc.

This leaves me with little time to edit on Tuesdays. 

Episodes will be released on Tuesday. Just note that typically they WILL be very late on Tuesday. So, I'd suggest checking for the episodes on Wednesdays. Even though they WERE released on Tuesday, likely Tuesday didn't have enough time left in it for you to see it on Tuesday.

I will seldom allow an episode to NOT be released on Tuesday, even if it is at 11:59pm. However, I'd really suggest you check on Wednesdays. 

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for listening anyway.

Over the next few months...

So, the hosts are starting school up very soon. We say this because we'd like you all to be aware that the possibility of late episodes is much higher now than it was during the summer.

For most of the hosts, real life does come before the podcasts, and if it is a choice between doing some big, 50% of-your-exam-grade project and editing the podcast, they'll likely choose the big project.

We hope it will not end up being an issue, especially not later in the year, but we thought we should let you all know that it's a possibility, and if an episode is late by a day or even a week, know that it is not because of Kevin being lazy or Sion being too Welsh, it's the fault of their school schedules and school priorities. 

Blog update!

The blog has not been updated in a while. That's because there hasn't really been any news to report. We apologize for maybe keeping ya'll in the dark. Only real news is that: Wastelanders is hopefully coming out (next episode) by next Friday. Not a promise, but it's hopeful.

Email the network, and the shows. We love to hear from our fans. 

Spoiler Database will be delayed for a week

The next episode of Spoiler Database, Mass Effect Part 2, will be delayed in release for a week. This is due to Kevin not being able to edit. He was not being lazy; unfortunate circumstances prevented him from having time to edit.

Kevin is going out of town tomorrow at 9:30am, and after we all recorded the episode today (Kevin, Ryan, Sion), Kevin had to do things that unfortunately prevented him from editing. SD episode 7 will be released in conjunction with SD Episode 8, so you'll be getting two episodes next week.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll be back on track next week.

Spoiler Database is taking a week off

So, because Ryan is still in Spain, Sion's internet is down, and Kevin is going on vacation this Sunday...SD is not going to release an episode this week. But don't worry, they'll be right back next week (the 20th) with a new show. They will be doing Batman Arkham Asylum next, so please leave comments on the story for it here or e-mail Spoiler Database at sd@galaxypodcastnetwork.com.

All's Quiet on the Western Front

Hey. So, we promised in SD that this would update frequently. Right now we don't have anything terribly interesting to report.

We're still taking submissions for the banner (1100x200), so if you have artistic talent or are creative, submit. You've got nothing to lose, and...well, really nothing to gain either, but we'd certainly like banner submissions. They don't even have to be for the GPN! If you want to do one for GNR, or SD, or the GPN overall, go for it. Each page can have its own banner. Just please, PLEASE make it 1100x200. We will not accept banners that are not those dimensions.

Shows are going well, Ryan is in Spain. Please e-mail Spoiler Database! We're dying for show ideas and input from the fans. The next show will be about either Batman: Arkham Asylum or Left 4 Dead. 

Tony Television

The GPN has just hooked up with TTV Productions to bring you Tony Television! TTV is a show much like SNL, in that it presents skits and shows, and it's LIVE! TTV airs on Saturdays (And sometimes Sundays) at 1pm EST (GMT-5). TTV is a gaming/current tech events show. The first GPN broadcast is this Saturday. Check it out.

So we need your help.

As you may have noticed, Spoiler Database is marked "Clean" in the iTunes store. Well, we all know for a fact that none of our shows are "Clean" in the traditional sense. The reason this is an issue is because we're lying. So, if each of you could go to our iTunes store page, hit "Report a problem" and then "Contains explicit content but is not marked", we'd appreciate it. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be anything that we can do to our RSS feed to change the tag.

Wastelanders and New Show Update

So we know we promised them out this past week. Unfortunately, several pieces of the puzzle, beyond our control (not someone being lazy), did not fall into the puzzle the way they should have. We're not making any promises at this point in time, and certainly not for Wastelanders, but the New Show, if everything goes to plan, will be out this coming Tuesday. 

Since we're torturing you with not giving you anything, we're going to give you a quick tease of the new show. The schedule and the new e-mail spot should be sufficient. Look to the right of this blog post.

Go nuts with speculation. We all REALLY hope we can release this coming Tuesday. It's important to all of us, and we know you guys want to hear it too.

Welcome GNR fans. This is the Galaxy Podcast Network, and while bland, it will eventually house all of our shows. This website is small, we understand, but that's because there are parts of it that have been temporarily disabled until we release our new show, so you guys don't know what it is until it's released. The page for the new show is waiting. It's on the site, it's just disabled. 

TO GNR FANS: Do not go to the other blog anymore. All posts on that blog show up here; however new comments do not. We will take care of the posts themselves.

You know that 'test' post on the blog? That was testing to see if they automatically update. They don't. However, we will take care of that and everything on that blog will be on this one.
